Next new project - 35th Birmingham Girls Brigade

We are delighted to announce another MechaniX project!

Mechanix T4

The next MechaniX project will be an all-girl group from the 35th Birmingham Girls Brigade. 9 young people will be taking part in the project to renovate a rather tired Volkswagen T4 van.

The group have decided that the van will be turned into a coffee van, to be used at events at the Brigade centre in Northfield, Birmingham.

Shirley Giles, 35th Girls Brigade Captain said 'We are thankful to be given this opportunity whhich acknowledges that the girls are able, confident learners who can approach this project with courage and enthusiasm, learning skills that will last a lifetime and raise their self-esteem tremendously'.

Vehicle Inspection and Training Services (VIATS) will be hosting the project at their workshop in Redditch. Daniela Rathke, VIATS Owner said 'We are delighted to be hosting this latest MechaniX project and passing skills onto the group which they can use in the future'.
